Problems to Solve

A Non-Profit company with a poor digital presence was after a complete audit of their site and other touchpoints. We proposed recommendations for a content strategy, Information Architecture, tech stack and production timelines.

Information Architecture

Discovery:

  • Old site audit revealed many problems. Important content was burried & not searchable.
  • Separating different channels & their content into individual systems in a recommended tech stack.
  • This new IA structure needs to follow determined Design Principles & a universal Style Guide.
  • Content Strategies needed to be outlined in relation to governance.
  • STLC recommendations were needed to facilitate consistent fresh content, regular system maintenance & frequent public awareness through all touchpoints.

Strategy:

  • Information Architecture recommendations & tech stack suggestions (see image below).
  • Taxonomy deep dive based on interviews & social channel correspondences.
  • Persona creation to validate IA recommendations.
  • Single-Sign-On (SSO) was suggested for user personalization - delivering the right content to the user at the right time.
  • Content can be liked/shared, giving families, researchers & professionals ways to easily connect and grow their networks.
  • GPS & Calendars can be used to map user location to the nearest medical specialist.

Wireframing Service Design

Making every aspect of the site relate to the gathered research - all text came from user stories. Vital information to be presented was grouped into new functionality.

Business objective – It can be traumatic when first identifying Apraxia in a child. Finding information should be simple & intuitive.
